Hello Debbie, I guess that each artist has his/her own codes. In my case I like whatching how my peaces evolve. I like seing and analyzing the process. It helps me better understand what I do. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts.

Hello Lloyd. First of all let me thank you for adding your thoughts. I like critics when they are respectfully done (like yours).
Let me answer your question. So far I have always tryed to abstract concepts. The ones I´ve been working on for the last 2 years are tension, accumulation and massification. In this painting I try to focus on tension (this is why I use strings that I tye (to reinforce the tension concept) as well as others that I sew in the burlap when it breaks due to the whole canvas tension.

Again, thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts and feel free to add the creative process you follow when creating.

I do like the final work. However, I see no hint of “abstraction”. What is being abstracted?
“Strictly speaking, it refers to art unconcerned with the literal depiction of things from the visible world—it can, however, refer to an object or image which has been distilled from the real world, or indeed, another work of art. Artwork that reshapes the natural world for expressive purposes is called abstract.”
