First art gallery application

This is the application I´m sending to various modern art galleries in Barcelona. Hope you enjoy it:

Hi, I´m an abstract painter from Barcelona, with a huge desire to exhibit my abstract art in a good modern art gallery.

My interest in abstract art goes back to my childhood when I was surrounded by beautiful art works, made lots of cultural modern abstract art tours, and spent many evenings in local and international modern art galleries , fares and museums. Parallel to this I developed a abstract art collecting passion.

About 3 years ago I changed my vision. Until then I had been a modern abstract art observer, but from that moment on I switched and decided to play an active role. I moved to the other side in order to become a painter with the dream of one day having my works exhibited in a modern art gallery like yours.

With the help of a great painter, friend, and fine arts diplomat, xavier ribas who has led me constantly develope a committed abstract art with a clear individual language, I have arrived at this point.

My pictorial influences are found in names o great artists painters and sculptors such as Hans Hoffman, Chillida, Oteiza, Diebenkorn, Miró, Towmbly, Rothko, Pollock, American minimalism, Manolo Millares and Romanesque art.

My artistic universe ….:

. I’m interested in abstraction; the concept; the synthesis of an idea or image; and color.
. I like committed beauty and authenticity. To me, plastic art must be beautiful to behold, genuine and thoughtful;
. I use several different painting techniques and surfaces: pastel, acrylic, oil, paper, wood, canvas;
. Since I found my own vision and abstract art proposal, I have constantly and in-depth worked to develope it: tension, the line, repetition, accumulation, intersection, to concentrate the vision in one point, playing a visual game with the observer, ties and crossroads, the inner universe, the current social reality, color, shade, and volume.

In my modern abstract paintings I try to work on universal emotions and do it within a personal and committed artistic vision. Behind every piece there is a thoughtful and technical commitment. As you will see, in my recent most abstract art works I have incorporated more simplicity and volume to the canvas. The aim is to create a painting “mystery” that causes the interested spectator to think about what he or she sees.

Last July I made an art exhibition in a non art gallery “CN Barcelona”. It was my first. In addition to generating exciting first sales, it confirmed me in this direction. I currently have in deposit some paintings in a law firm in Barcelona, VBB abogados, that has a beautiful office in Paseo de Gracia.

I also sell my abstract paintings to friends, acquaintances, relatives… and I get new Clients by both word of mouth and through the use of a online social media marketing.

I know a bit of online marketing and social media. These are areas where I am active and I even develope a consulting professional activity helping third parties. I have a blog with a clear international orientation; a personal profile on facebook; a new yasoypintor facebook page; twitter and linkedin profiles. In a few weeks my blog will be changed into a new one that will incorporate more attractive and dynamic menus and features. My goal is to sell paintings both on and offline, increase my notoriety using this social media online channel, and work with modern art galleries to boost visitor traffic and interest during art exhibitions (either mine and/or other artists ones)

In this application I present 2 series of different but highly interrelated modern abstract paintings. IMOM´s one name is already framed. Its name means “Inside my own Matrix”. I worked it using different painting techniques and surfaces (pastel, oils and acrylics, both on paper and canvas, different in sizes). The other modern abstract art series it´s an evolution or rather a focus of the previous one. I call it Ties. It incorporates materiality (ropes and wood), simplicity and volume, and it is developed working with both oil and acrylic techniques.

Hola, os incluyo la copia de la aplicación que acabo de realizar a varias galerías de arte moderno y abstracto en Barcelona.

Hola,

Soy un pintor abstracto de Barcelona con unas ganas enormes de exponer en una buena galería de arte como la vuestra.

Antes de lanzarme a la creación pictórica, fui banquero privado y empresario. Estos 2 sectores, aunque poco tienen que ver con la pintura, sí tienen relación con algunas características de mi arte abstracto actual.

Mis influencias pictóricas las encontramos en nombres de grandes artistas como Hans Hoffman, Chillida, Oteiza, Diebenkorn, Miró, Towmbly, Rothko, Pollock, el minimalismo americano, Manolo Millares y el arte románico.

Hace aproximadamente 3 años cambié mi visión sobre la pintura: hasta entonces había sido observador, y a partir de ese momento me moví al otro lado y decidí ser artista abstracto.

Desde entonces, con la ayuda de un gran amigo pintor plástico y bellas artes,  quien me ha provocado constantemente para que haga un arte comprometido con un lenguaje propio, he llegado hasta hoy.

Mi universo artístico….:

• Me interesa la abstracción, el concepto, la síntesis de una idea o imagen, y el color.
• Me interesa la belleza y la autenticidad comprometida. Para mí el arte ha de ser bello de contemplar, auténtico y reflexivo;
• Utilizo técnicas varias y distintas superficies: pastel, acrílico, óleo, papel, madera, lienzo;
• Una vez encontré mi propia visión, mi temática ha sido constante y la desarrollo en profundidad: tensión, recta, repetición, acumulación, intersección, la matrix, concentrar la visión en un punto, el juego con el observador, las ataduras y encrucijadas, el universo interior, la realidad actual social, el color, la sombra, y cada vez más el volumen.

Intento que mi pintura abstracta refleje conceptos y emociones universales, siempre desde un plano muy personal y comprometido. Detrás de cada una de mis pinturas hay un compromiso tanto intelectual como técnico. En mis últimos cuadros abstractos he incorporado más simplicidad y volumen al lienzo. El objetivo es crear una pintura abstracta y moderna “mística” que provoque que el espectador interesado reflexione sobre lo que observa.

He realizado una exposición de pintura en el Club Natació Barcelona, la primera, la cual además de generar mis primeras y emocionantes ventas, me confirmó en esta dirección.

Tengo pintura abstracta en depósito en un despacho de abogados que tiene una preciosa oficina en Paseo de Gracia (VBB abogados). Ellas lo decoran con mis obras, y yo tengo un punto de venta adicional

También vendo mi pintura a nievel particular: amigos, conocidos, familiares, y nuevos Clientess aficionados al arte abstracto, que se enteran que existo por efecto del boca a boca y de las redes sociales.

Conozco el mundo del marketing online y redes sociales, ámbitos en los que soy activo e incluso desarrollo actividades de asesoramiento profesional a terceros como consultor. Tengo un blog con una clara orientación internacional, así como perfil personal en facebook , página en facebook de yasoypintor, y perfiles en twitter y linkeding. En unas semanas convertiré mi blog en una weblog que incorporará nuevos menús más atractivos y dinámicos. Mi objetivo es vender pintura online, aumentar mi notoriedad utilizando este canal, y trabajar conjuntamente con galerías de arte para potenciar el tráfico de visitas durante las exposiciones que realice tanto yo como otros artistas de esas mismas galerías de arte

 Para mi candidatura presento 2 series distintas de pintura abstracta, aunque las 2 tienen mucha relacióm. Una de ellas de nombre IMOM significa Inside my own Matrix (dentro de mi propia matrix). Son pinturas de técnicas y superficies varias (pastel, óleos y acrílicos sobre papel y lienzo, y de tamaños distintos); la otra verás que es una evolución o más bien una focalización de la anterior la llamo Ataduras. En ellas incorporo materialidad (cuerdas y madera) y también trabajo tanto con óleo como acrílico.
